If you're trying to sign up for a SmartRoutes free trial and see the message "An account is already set up for this email address. Please click here to sign in," it means our system has recognized this email, or someone else in your organization, has already used a trial.
We allow one free trial per company, not per individual email address, so a second sign-up under the same organization won't create a new trial.
Why this happens
Trials are limited to one per company to keep things fair across all new customers. If you've personally signed up before, or a colleague at your company has already started a trial, any further sign-up attempts using a company email will return this message rather than starting a fresh trial.
This applies even if:
- The previous trial has since expired
- A different person at your company created the original account
- You're using a slightly different email address, but from the same company domain
What to do next
If you previously started the trial yourself
- Go to the SmartRoutes login page.
- Log in using the same email and password from your original trial.
- If you need more time to evaluate the platform before committing to a subscription, we recommend starting with a one-month plan rather than an annual commitment. If you have a larger team, it can also help to subscribe with a smaller number of licenses first and add more as needed.
If a colleague at your company already has an account
Check with your team to see if an account already exists under your organization. If it does, ask an existing administrator to add you as a team member instead of starting a new trial. See Setting Up Users in SmartRoutes for how they can do this.
