SmartRoutes is a SaaS route planning and optimisation platform used by companies to plan the optimal route for their deliveries or collections. SmartRoutes was founded in 2018 and has been growing steadily since. We are an energetic team who have grown the business from an initial concept a number of years ago to a profitable business today. Our clients vary from small businesses with one van on the road to large enterprises.
We are looking for an experienced full stack developer to join our growing team at SmartRoutes. We want someone who is highly motivated and resourceful, someone who is passionate about iterative development and continuous improvement. They must be comfortable working in a fast-paced agile environment.
The ideal candidate would be experienced developing cloud applications with the following skills:
- Front End: HTML, CSS, Javascript (experience in Javascript frameworks such as React or Angular beneficial)
- Back End: Primarily NodeJS (Java useful)
- Experience with MySQL/MariaDB
- Servers: Unix Servers
- Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure services, preferably AWS
- Experience with REST APIs
Your role will be responsible for:
- Driving development across frontend and backend components
- Working with technical lead to design overall application architecture and align with the future direction, and implement those changes to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software
Education and Typical Years of Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or similar experience
- 3+ years’ software development or programming experience
